NWA Preparedness Fair 2010

NWA Emergency Preparedness FairThe fourth annual NWA Emergency Preparedness Fair will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2010 from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 1101 McCollum Road in Bentonville, Arkansas.

The fair will begin at 10:00 a.m. and will be open until 2:00 p.m.

  • FREE Child IDs
  • 75+ Booths
  • Presentations and Classes on Preparedness Topics
  • Explore "Hands-On" Emergency Service Vehicles
  • The American Red Cross will host a walk in blood drive during the Fair and on Fri Aug 20th from 2 pm to 7 pm.
  • Fun Activities for the Kids

The goal of the NWA Emergency Preparedness Fair is to help residents of Northwest Arkansas obtain the information they need to prepare their families, neighborhoods, and community for a variety of emergency situations.

75+ informational booths hosted by local organizations such as emergency response teams, emergency training personnel, the Red Cross, and other community service groups. The valuable information to be presented at the fair this year will include: emergency foods, personal document preservation and preparation, first aid kits, emergency shelters and evacuation routes, pet care during emergency situations, water purification, and more.

Red Cross Blood Drive

Red CrossA Red Cross Blood Drive will also be held in conjunction with the event. The American Red Cross will be onsite at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 1101 McCollum Drive in Bentonville to take blood donations.
